Job Description:

Pulse is seeking a band 8a Clinical Psychologist to join our client’s NHS team in Warwickshire. The position is full-time for a 5-month period, starting as soon as possible.

The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to promote emotional and physical wellbeing among children aged 5-12 with excess weight. The team includes a Family Therapist/Service Lead, Paediatrician, Dietician, and Physical Activity Specialist, providing community-based care using a biopsychosocial approach.

CAMHS Practitioner Role:

  • Provide specialist assessments, formulation, and interventions for children and families.
  • Offer consultation and liaison to the wider network.
  • Conduct therapeutic sessions with children, carers, families, and groups.
  • Exercise autonomous professional responsibility in assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • HCPC registration
  • Proven experience in a CAMHS role
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Supervision experience
