Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the Warrington area for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers. Typical hours are Monday to Friday from 07:30 with PAYE pay at £16.05 per hour.

The role involves deliveries, collections, and manual handling, with pre/post-trip checks and strict safety compliance. Requirements include a full UK licence with CAT C1 entitlement, DCPC and tachograph cards, and a minimum of 1 year driving experience.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 1 year driving experience or more.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Excellent communication skills and safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and collections on a daily basis.
• Heavy manual handling including loading/unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Use company devices/software to update delivery statuses.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and compliance.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies to maintain high safety standards.
• Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am starts

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour

The role:

• Deliveries and collections.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
