Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of a well-known client in Enfield for multiple 7.5 tonne driver roles. Shifts start 08:00 from Monday to Friday with PAYE pay at £17.61 per hour, and overtime at £24.99 per hour.

Work involves manual handling, loading/unloading, and using our delivery software to update statuses. You'll perform around 20 collections and deliveries, operate with care in yard manoeuvres, conduct vehicle inspections, and maintain safety standards while communicating

Qualifications

• UK driving licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (Cat C1) is required.
• Minimum 12 months of driving experience.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on the licence.
• Understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Good communication and safety-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 20 collections/deliveries per shift.
• Load/unload parcels manually at depots and customer sites.
• Use devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Move push roller cages and assist sites when needed.
• Reverse in yards and manoeuvre vehicles with care.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections for roadworthiness.
• Adhere to traffic regulations and safety policies.
• Coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Enfield area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am starts
Pay Rates: £17.61 PAYE Per Hour, over time after 40 hours £24.99 per hour PAYE

The role:

• 20 collections/ deliveries
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
• 12 months experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
