Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for a well-known client in Portsmouth for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers. Hours are Monday to Friday starting 09:00. Pay £16.05 per hour with overtime at £23.43 after 40 hours. Location: PO9 4FE.

Job type: ongoing. Responsibilities include multi-drop deliveries and heavy manual handling, with use of company software to update delivery statuses. Requirements include a Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1), a valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card,

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Portsmouth area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts

Pay Rates: £16.05 per hour with overtime of £23.43 after 40 hours

Location: PO9 4FE

The role:

• Multi-drop collections and deliveries
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
• New pass welcome to apply (assessment will be required for anyone under 12 months)
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
