Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Maidstone area for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers. Hours are Monday to Friday starting at 09:00, with pay of £16.05 PAYE per hour. Location: ME20 6WT. Job type: ongoing, with duties including collections (up to 20 stops) and occasional deliveries.

Role requires a Full UK licence with 7.5t entitlement, DCPC and Tachograph card, no more than 6 points, and a strong safety-first mindset along with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• New pass welcome (assessment for under 12 months).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD).

Responsibilities

• Mainly collections with up to 20 stops; some deliveries.
• Manual handling including loading/unloading parcels.
• Use devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and compliance.
• Follow traffic laws and company policies; coordinate with dispatch.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Maidstone area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour

Location: ME20 6WT

Job Type: Ongoing

The role:

• Mainly collections - up to 20 stops (there will also be some deliveries)


• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.


• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses


• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.


• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.


• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)


• New pass welcome to apply (assessment will be required for anyone under 12 months)


• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.


• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).


• Full understanding of WTD legislation.


• Excellent communication skills.
