Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd, on behalf of a well-known client in the Park Royal area, is seeking a 7.5 Tonne driver to join the team. Hours are Monday to Friday with a start time of 09:30. Pay is £17.61 per hour, with overtime at £24.99 per hour after 40 hours.

Location: Park Royal NW10. Role involves deliveries/collections, heavy manual handling, and updating delivery statuses using company software. Pre/post-trip checks required and strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• New pass welcome.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and collections.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
