Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for a client in the Bournemouth area for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers. Hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 09:00. Pay £16.05 per hour with overtime at £23.43 after 40 hours.

Location BH21 7BU. Job type: ongoing, with duties including multi-drop deliveries, loading/unloading, and keeping statuses updated. Requirements include a full UK licence with 7.5T entitlement (CAT C1), valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph, no more than 6 points, and a safety-first mindset

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• New pass welcomed; assessment for anyone under 12 months.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections for roadworthiness.

The role:

• Multi-drop collections and deliveries.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
