Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting for our client in the Maidstone area for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers. Hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 09:00. Location: Maidstone, ME20 6WT. Pay £16.05 per hour (PAYE). This is an ongoing role with progression opportunities.

Role involves collections with up to 20 stops, some deliveries, and manual handling. You will use company software to update delivery statuses and perform pre-/post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid.
• No more than 6 points on licence; safety-focused.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mainly collections - up to 20 stops (there will also be some deliveries)
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour

Location: ME20 6WT

• Mainly collections - up to 20 stops (there will also be some deliveries)

Requirements:

• New pass welcome to apply (assessment will be required for anyone under 12 months)
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
