Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in the Bournemouth area for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers.

Hours are Monday to Friday, starting around 09:00, with pay at £16.05 per hour and overtime at £23.43 after 40 hours. You will perform multi-drop deliveries, assist with loading/unloading, update statuses using company software, and carry out daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a safety‑first approach.
• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1) is essential.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid and in date.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Understanding of WTD legislation is required.
• New pass welcome to apply, subject to assessment for under 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Multi‑drop collections and deliveries.
• Manual handling including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Use of devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections for roadworthiness and compliance.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations and company policies for safety on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts.

Pay Rates: £16.05 per hour with overtime of £23.43 after 40 hours.

The role:

• Multi-drop collections and deliveries.
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
