A local social enterprise is seeking part-time Personal Care Assistants in Lancaster to support a gentleman in his home. Candidates should be compassionate, able to assist with personal care, and have knowledge of taking care of an assistance dog. Flexible waking watch hours, paid annual leave, and all necessary training provided. Salary is £12.38 per hour.

Do you have an interest in supporting people to lead an ordinary life? Do you have a passion for helping someone to maintain their independence?

The job: We are looking to recruit part-time Personal Care assistants to support a gentleman who lives in his own home. This exciting role is to provide support to enable him to manage his daily life, which will include providing support with personal and health care needs. He has a range of complex medical conditions which means he needs 24/7 support to ensure he is safe and well.

An essential part of his support is provided by his assistance dog. Part of the role is to support him to take care of his dog.

The right person

You will work alongside the gentleman, his family, the existing team and trained healthcare professionals who will provide full support during induction and training in all aspects of clinical and other duties. You will work in the family home on a 1:1 basis with the gentleman.

The hours

Part-time posts are available, the employer is willing to be very flexible, but a combination of waking watch hours (7.00pm-8.00am) and weekend daytime hours (8.00am-7.00pm) are required

£12.38 per hour

You will receive 5.6 weeks paid annual leave

Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and will be subject to a DBS check and clearance which will be paid for by the employer.
