A leading technology company in Basingstoke seeks a 3rd Line Storage Support Engineer to ensure high availability of data and maintain backup solutions. This role involves daily user interaction and monitoring critical IT systems, requiring skills in Dell EMC Storage solutions and various IT tools. The ideal candidate will possess strong system administration skills and be nationally cleared. The position is fully onsite with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Highly Cleared sole national 3rd Line Storage Support Engineer required for a high-level government account.
  • Experience in System Administration may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assist high profile user community and maintain daily contact with customers.
  • Monitor Event Management tooling, triage and escalation.
  • Maintain and support backup and storage solutions for data availability.
  • Conduct daily checks and maintain documentation of the product’s lifecycle.

Overview

3rd Line Storage Support Engineer
Basingstoke - Fully Onsite

Shift Working (0700 – 1500 or 1100 – 1900)

Your role and responsibilities

Your role will involve:

We are looking for a 3rd Line Storage Support Engineer to join our team of 2nd and 3rd Line engineers. Your role will involve assisting high profile user community, daily contact with customers and stakeholders utilising the IT Service Management Toolset. The monitoring of Event Management tooling, trigae and escalation is critical to the role.

Maintaining and supporting the backup and storage solution, to allow high availability of data in the event of loss or disaster recovery.

Conducting daily checks of the solution, producing documentation and maintaining the product’s lifecycle management.

The applicant must be a Highly Cleared sole national 3rd Line Storage Support Engineer required for this high level government account.
