Blenheim Schools is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join the IT team at Akeley Wood School in Buckingham. The role provides 2nd line support, works with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security and Projects, and is responsible for resolving incidents and maintaining Microsoft 365, AD and Google Workspace environments.

We require 3–5 years in 2nd/3rd line support, ITIL awareness, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifikationen

• Professional qualification in IT and/or a related degree.
• 3–5 years' experience in a 2nd/3rd Line Support or MSP environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows servers, desktop platforms, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Google Workspace, Jamf, and/or Intune.
• Good understanding of networking, cloud technologies, and IT security.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware and software.
• Experience working within an ITIL-based support environment.
• Able to manage priorities, work independently, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Virtualisation, scripting, or VoIP experience would be advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Provide 2nd line support for incidents, service requests, and technical problems.
• Act as an escalation point for Service Desk engineers.
• Manage and resolve support tickets through to completion.
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Google Workspace environments.
• Configure and maintain laptops, mobile devices, printers, and tablets.
• Manage devices using Jamf and/or Microsoft Intune.
• Support networking infrastructure, connectivity, and telephony systems.
• Assist with cybersecurity incidents, system improvements, and technology rollouts.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Build strong relationships with users and provide excellent customer service.
