Job summary

Blenheim Schools is seeking a 2nd Line IT Service Desk Site Engineer to provide expert technical support across a busy environment. Based primarily at a site in Huddersfield, you will help ensure systems, devices, networks and cloud services operate efficiently, keeping colleagues connected and productive.

You will resolve 2nd line incidents, support users onsite and remotely, escalate as needed, and assist with IT projects and documentation.

Qualifications

Experience in a 2nd Line IT Support or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Google Workspace.
Experience with cloud technologies, hardware, software and user devices.
Understanding of networking (Cisco Meraki, LAN/WAN, web filtering).
Experience with device management (Intune and/or Jamf).
Knowledge of IT security, cyber security best practices and compliance.

Responsibilities

Resolve 2nd line IT incidents, service requests, and technical issues.
Act as an escalation point for Service Desk Engineers and support sites across the organisation.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access across AD, M365, Azure AD, and Google Workspace.
Support server, network, cloud, telephony, and cyber security environments.
Configure and deploy laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers and other hardware.
Manage devices through Microsoft Intune and/or Jamf.
Investigate recurring issues, identify root causes, and contribute to service improvements.
Assist with IT projects, technology rollouts, and maintenance of technical documentation.
