Job summary

Blenheim Schools in Buckingham is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join the IT team, providing 2nd line support across multiple sites and assisting with new technology rollouts.

The role requires 3–5 years in 2nd/3rd line support, strong Windows/Microsoft 365 knowledge, and experience with AD/Azure AD, Google Workspace, Jamf and Intune.

This is a permanent, 37.5‑hour week position starting in November 2026, based at Akeley Wood School, Buckingham.

Qualifications

• Professional IT qualification or related degree.
• 3–5 years in 2nd/3rd line support or MSP environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows servers, desktops and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with AD, Azure AD, Google Workspace, Jamf and/or Intune.
• Good understanding of networking, cloud technologies and IT security.
• Experience in an ITIL-based support environment.
• Able to manage priorities, work independently and under pressure.
• Virtualisation, scripting or VoIP experience advantageous.

• Act as an escalation point for Service Desk engineers.
• Manage and resolve support tickets through to completion.

• Build strong relationships with users and provide excellent customer service.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide 2nd line support for incidents, service requests, and technical problems, ensuring users receive a high-quality and responsive IT service. Working closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security, Applications, and Projects teams, you'll help maintain and enhance critical systems while supporting the rollout of new technologies.

What you will bring

• 3-5 years’ experience in a 2nd/3rd Line Support or MSP environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows servers, desktop platforms, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Google Workspace, Jamf, and/or Intune.
• Good understanding of networking, cloud technologies, and IT security.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware and software.
• Experience working within an ITIL-based support environment.
• Able to manage priorities, work independently, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Virtualisation, scripting, or VoIP experience would be advantageous.
