Job summary

A leading care home provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced 2nd Chef to deliver exceptional food service and fine dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of catering experience and a passion for culinary excellence. Working full-time, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to create innovative menus under the mentorship of the Head Chef.

Watermeadow Grange in Topsham, Exeter is a beautiful care home providing 86 spacious ensuite bedrooms including a community dedicated to the care of people living with dementia.

Responsibilities
  • Provide energetic and passionate food service, working from a variety of menus created by the Head Chef.
  • Order, prepare and serve appetizing freshly produced food, from local suppliers where possible.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety.
  • Aim to provide a fine dining experience with varied choices for every mealtime and cater for private events for residents.
  • Work in a spacious, well-equipped kitchen and contribute to kitchen ideas and menus under the Head Chef’s mentoring.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of catering experience, ideally at Chef de Partie level.

  • Passion to work with the catering team and showcase innovative, fine dining standards.
Other Information
