A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated dietitian to join their paediatric dietetic team. The role focuses on delivering expert dietetic advice for patients with complex needs and supporting team members in their development. An excitingopportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian looking towork within the paediatric dietetic team at Barnsley Hospital. We welcomeapplications from band 6 Dietitians, or from established band 5 Dietitians whoare ready to step up to a more senior level or work in a different area ofinterest.
Thispermanent post specialises in paediatrics, with a focus on supporting homeenteral feeding and promoting nutrition within this area. It also provides theopportunity to work within specialist areas of paediatrics, including neonatalnutrition and a range of common childhood health conditions.
You will workwith local and tertiary centre dietitians and health care teams. You will alsobe able to develop and take part in staff teaching and training, and maintain yourcontinuous professional development. The post includes providing supervisionfor our band 5 dietitians and
You will bean integral part of our friendly Dietetic Department and have excellent supportfrom the wider Dietetic team which includes Dietetic Assistant and AssistantPractitioners and a dedicated Administration team.
You will havethe opportunity to lead student dietitians on their placements and supportjuniormembers ofyour team in their training and development. We are a proactive departmentwhere personalcontinuing development is promoted, therefore attendance on study days isoffered in line with identified learning needs.
To provide specialist dietetic advice for patients who mayrequire complex dietetic interventions, and to monitor and adapt theirtreatment accordingly in an inpatient/outpatient setting.
Work effectively as part of the MDT
To regularly undertake audits and surveys of ownpractice/dietetic service and may be required to participate in research.
To provide a keyrole in service development and service changes, including policy developmentand proposal of new specialist services.
Provide regular supervision for Band 5 dietitians
You should bea motivated and enthusiastic individual with good time management skills and acommitment toevidence-based practice.
