Job summary

JLL in Croydon is seeking a Data Centre Engineer to support 24/7 operations within the data centre environment. The role includes installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of racks, housing, network and computer equipment on a 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights).

You will work with hardware from HP, Cisco, Dell and Arista, manage cabling, power and cable management, ensuring installations meet high standards while liaising with global teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Computer engineering knowledge to optimise methods of working.
• Cabling knowledge to achieve efficient installations.
• Rack mount kit installation including HP, Cisco, Dell, Arista hardware.
• Hardware maintenance including replacing failed parts and testing cabling.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain racks, housing, network and computer equipment.
• Ensure installations meet standards for tidiness, security and asset information.
• Provide 24/7 support with shift coverage and liaise with global counterparts and third parties.
