Job summary

CBRE in Croydon Data Centre is seeking an ICT DCS Day/Night Shift Technician to support 24/7 operations. You will liaise with the DCS Shift Leader to ensure requests are delivered within agreed timescales, monitor alarms via Hawk-I and Netcool, and promote a professional image of the company with customers on site.

You will follow health and safety, keep records up to date, manage service requests in ServiceNow, and assist with racking, patching, and hardware tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the rules and regulations documented in the standards concerning buildings and communications rooms.
• Make sure all work is carried out to the standard expected by the Client.
• Liaise closely with the customer and always promote a positive image of the company.
• Ensure that the Shift Leader or the DCS Manager is informed of any issues within the team that could affect delivery of services per SLAs.
• Escalate any issues relating to Data Halls or on-site work to Shift Leader or CBRE DCS Manager promptly.
• Ensure that your Shift Leader/Shift Manager and DCS Manager are informed of any absence or lateness per procedure.
• Meet health and safety requirements and escalate any concerns or incidents.
• Wear the correct uniform and notify if extra items are required.
• Ensure annual leave is requested on time as per procedure.
• Complete timesheets by 9am Friday and provide to contract support team; submit overtime via the required form.
• Check emails and job queues regularly and action as needed; complete tasks within timeframes.
• Carry out monthly toolbox talks.
• Ensure Change Management (TCMs) and e-permits have approvals before tasks.
• Keep workshop and storerooms clean and stock spreadsheets up to date.
• Notify DCS Manager of any stock requirements.
• Perform other duties within your skill set as delegated by your Line Manager.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with KPIs/SLAs.
