Job summary

Hamilton Rowe Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Centre Engineer for Heathrow to work on a Continental Days & Nights shift. The role focuses on cross connects, rack patching, and decommissioning within a busy data environment.

You will manage deployments and repairs, coordinate with Account Managers and Service Managers, and ensure tasks meet OLAs/SLAs while adhering to safety and regulation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational Data Centre environment.
• Ability to plan cabinet utilisation and space in line with standards.
• Experience with cross-connects and patching.
• Proficient in diagnosing faults in live hosting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for pre-scheduled and reactive workflows at the Data Centre or at other locations.
• Plan and optimise Data Centre space and cabinet utilisation.
• Prepare quotations in alignment with standards and OLAs.
• Mount servers, storage, and network equipment in cabinets.
• Install Data Centre cabling following documentation and standards.
• Deliver pre- and post-sales support to relevant teams.
• Manage Remedy/ServiceNow tickets within OLAs/SLAs.
• Address non-compliance issues and drive them to resolution.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement remedies.
• Prepare accurate, timely reports.
• Ensure repairs comply with current regulations.
