Job summary

TGS International Group is seeking proactive Data Centre Engineers to join a high-availability operations team in Slough, UK. The role is vital for ensuring continuous uptime, connectivity, and performance across multiple client sites.

You will perform cabling, install and maintain hardware, and troubleshoot faults in a 24/7 operational environment with day and night shifts. Ideal candidates will possess experience in data centre settings and have a strong troubleshooting mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience working within data centre, IT infrastructure, telecoms, or similar technical environments.
• Understanding of structured cabling, patching, and basic network infrastructure.
• Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Slough, UK | 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern (Days & Nights) | 24/7 operational environment

We are looking for proactive Data Centre Engineers to join a high-availability operations team supporting critical infrastructure across multiple client sites in the Slough region.

This role sits at the heart of live data centre environments, ensuring continuous uptime, connectivity, and performance across complex network and cabling systems.

What you’ll be doing

• Performing structured cabling, patching, and network connectivity tasks
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining data centre hardware and infrastructure
• Troubleshooting and resolving faults to ensure minimal service disruption
• Carrying out routine checks, preventative maintenance, and system updates
• Working closely with wider technical teams to support operational continuity
• 4 days on / 4 days off rotation
• 12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00)
• Includes day and night rotations
• Participation in an on-call rota as part of a 24/7 environment
