Job summary

Our client operates critical data centre infrastructure across London and is seeking a Data Centre Engineer to join their team on a 24/7 shift rotation. The role focuses on hardware break-fix with cabling as a secondary skill.

You will work hands-on, be reliable, and adapt to a rotating day/night schedule, including nights. Based in Lewisham with occasional Canary Wharf coverage, the role offers development opportunities and a structured training path.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data centre hardware experience required.
• Comfort working with drives, memory, boards and processors.
• Structured cabling to professional standard.
• Reliable and punctual; 24/7 shifts rely on you.

Responsibilities

• Hardware break-fix across data centre environments—diagnosis, repair, replacement of failed components.
• Work with hard drives, memory, boards, processors; HP rack-level kit.
• Structured cabling—installation, patching, cable management.
• Maintain clean, organised data centre environments.
• Shift-based coverage across Lewisham and Canary Wharf.
• Contribute to a 24/7 operation on a 3-week day/night rotation.
