Job summary

A specialized teaching agency is looking for a 1to1 Tutor to support a Year 5 boy with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in the Gloucester area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEMH students, deliver lesson plans independently, and must be flexible and able to drive. While QTS is not mandatory, strong knowledge of the primary curriculum is essential. This position is full-time and permanent, starting in September.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs.

• Capable of working independently with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead lesson plans provided by departments.
• Deliver lessons independently to a Year 5 student.

We're working closely with a growing special school based in Gloucester that needs a 1to1 Tutor to support a Year 5 boy with SEMH. The school has two sites in Gloucester and may move to Slimbridge next year, so flexibility and the ability to drive are essential.

The role

This student has severe anxiety and requires individualized support away from other students, with the goal of eventual reintegration into normal school life.

You will lead lesson plans (mostly provided by departments) and deliver them independently, demonstrating strong knowledge of the primary curriculum. A QTS is not mandatory, but experience working with SEMH students is essential.
