Job summary

A leading microchip manufacturer based in Whiteley is offering a 12-month intern placement starting Summer 2026. You will contribute to the development and testing of microchip products, work with a skilled team, and gain valuable experience in an industrial environment focusing on multitouch capacitive sensing devices. Ideal candidates should have completed the second year of an Electronics Engineering degree and possess programming skills in C and Python. Qualifications

  • Completed second year of Electronics Engineering degree (or similar).
  • Previous experience working in electronics or related industry would be an advantage.
  • Experience with debugging digital electronics, including familiarity with use of oscilloscopes and related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and testing of microchip products.
  • Validation testing for new products.
  • Development of software to enhance firmware simulator tool.
  • Updating firmware to increase compliance with industry coding standards.
  • Support for automated test strategies for firmware qualification.
