Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver

We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver to work on a 12‑month fixed term contract at our 512 branch at Stanley Street, Ulverston, LA12 7BS.

Location & Working Hours

Branch opening hours: Monday‑Friday 09:00 to 18:00. We seek individuals flexible to work within these times, with excellent people skills and a desire to provide a professional service standard to both our customers and the Pharmacy Teams.

Mileage Reimbursement

Reimbursement at 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile thereafter as per HMRC guidelines. Fuel receipts should be obtained for each petrol station visit and mileage claim submitted weekly.

Responsibilities

• Prompt and conscientious delivery of prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes.
• Provide high‑standard customer service, portraying a friendly professional image as an ambassador for the Cohens brand.
• Work under pressure to deliver prescriptions within the designated time period.
• Ensure prescription items are delivered in line with the company’s regulated procedures.
• Plan and print daily routes in branch before starting deliveries.
• May be required to assist with PR exercises to increase business.

Requirements

• Have very basic computer skills to plan and print routes.
• Use your own vehicle with business use permitted on your personal insurance policy; contact your insurer prior to interview.
• Provide evidence of increased premium to receive financial contribution from the company towards business insurance.
