Job summary
A global bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Toulouse is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role involves expanding manufacturing capabilities and requires significant experience in electrical design and project management within pharmaceutical environments. Strong leadership, communication skills, and proficiency in relevant tools are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in design and construction projects for manufacturing facilities.
- Experience in pharmaceutical plant operations or chemical engineering.
- Fluent in French preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support CAPEX investment projects from concept to operational handover.
- Design and manage electrical power systems and building services systems.
- Work effectively with internal stakeholders and external contract teams.

Our client, a global (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing organization, is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join their team on a new expansion project. Based in a charming location in France, this contractual role involves significantly increasing the site’s capacity for biologics manufacturing.
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
- Experience supporting CAPEX investment projects from concept to operational handover
- Experience working with internal stakeholders and external contract teams
- Ideally fluent in French
- Willing to travel to France or based within Europe
- Design experience with electrical power systems, including earthing, lightning protection, and low voltage systems
- Design experience with building services systems, such as lighting (general and emergency), fire detection and alarms, and IT infrastructure
- Experience with process equipment design
- Experience in pharmaceutical plant operations or chemical engineering, including hazardous areas
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, including design and construction projects for manufacturing facility expansion
- Experience managing complex projects within operational facilities
- Knowledge of clean utilities such as steam, water, and WFI (Water for Injection)
- Strong organizational and planning skills to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing needs
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a problem-solving mindset focused on project goals
- Proficiency with computer tools like spreadsheets, Word, Visio, and Microsoft Project
