As our first-ever HR Manager, you will build and manage all aspects of human resources for our dynamic and fast-paced organization of 30+ employees (growing to 50+ in the upcoming months). This is a unique opportunity for a skilled HR professional with a generalist background and a knack for recruitment to create HR processes, policies, and strategies from the ground up. You’ll be instrumental in attracting top talent, fostering a thriving company culture, and supporting our team as we expand globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for diverse roles across the organization, focusing on headhunting top-tier talent.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract candidates aligned with our mission and values.
- Build talent pipelines for technical and non-technical positions.
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure new hires are set up for success.
- Audit and enhance current compensation schemes for competitiveness and market alignment.
- Develop performance-based bonus structures to reward high performers.
- Recommend compensation adjustments and incentive plans to leadership to boost engagement and retention.
HR Operations
- Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems supporting business goals.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws across all jurisdictions.
- Manage employee records, contracts, and performance evaluations.
Culture & Employee Engagement
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
- Advise leadership and staff on people-related matters.
- Implement initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
Learning & Development
- Identify training and development needs.
- Implement programs that promote growth, learning, and leadership development.
Strategic HR Planning
- Partner with leadership to forecast workforce needs and align HR strategies with company objectives.
- Provide insights to improve organizational structure, compensation, and benefits.
Who You Are
- Experienced Generalist: 5+ years in HR, with a focus on recruitment and headhunting.
- Compensation Strategist: Skilled in designing and implementing competitive compensation structures.
- Recruitment Expert: Proven ability to attract top talent, especially in tech and event sectors.
- Builder: Capable of creating processes and systems from scratch in a growing company.
- Adaptable: Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Cultural Champion: Passionate about nurturing a positive workplace culture.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent in English and French (preferred).
