Qualifications

  • Au moins 3 ans d'expérience, diplômé d'une école d'ingénieur.
  • Maîtrise de Python, connaissance de NodeJS / React un plus.
  • Capacité à écrire du code propre, testé et maintenable.

Description du poste

Foodles, it's the canteen but better: simpler, more generous, and more convivial! Thanks to our proprietary connected fridge technology, we provide our customers with fresh, seasonal meals at affordable prices. We automatically detect the dishes taken from the fridges and charge the guests accordingly. We are a leader in our market in Europe with nearly a thousand clients throughout France and a presence in the United Kingdom.

Your mission

Your team's mission is to empower Foodles operational teams (finance, logistics, account management) with great tools that automate repetitive tasks, reduce shadow IT, and increase data quality.

To achieve this mission, your team undertakes the following key activities:

  1. Develop new and pre-existing Odoo modules, some of which are open source, focusing on supply management and invoicing.
  2. Connect our various business SaaS tools via API.
  3. Assist other teams in their missions (we do not work in silos!).
Roadmap projects include:
  1. Connecting our ERP (Odoo) with our CRM (Hubspot).
  2. Reducing B2B invoice generation time to less than 5 days per month.
  3. Migrating our ERP from version 14 to version 16.
  4. Deploying and customizing additional Odoo modules such as fleet management or maintenance.
Work environment

The team comprises:

  • 5 Software Engineers
  • A Product Manager

Tools used daily include:

  • Odoo 14 on Odoo.sh
  • Backend for client apps: Python 3.11 / Django 4.2 on Heroku, Postgres
  • Code and production monitoring tools: Github, Circle CI, Codecov, Datadog, Sentry

Development methodology

We combine Kanban and Shape Up, running 6-week cycles followed by 2-week cool-downs to balance stakeholder needs with technical maintenance, fostering team autonomy and technical growth.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop and test code for various tasks in our Kanban system.
  • Review colleagues' code.
  • Share knowledge through tech talks and pair programming.
  • Contribute to designing our products and services.
  • Suggest and implement organizational improvements during retrospectives.
Ideal Candidate Profile

We seek an engineer with:

  • At least 3 years of experience, graduated from an engineering school.
  • Enjoys backend and internal tool development.
  • Proficient in Python; knowledge of NodeJS / React is a plus.
  • Curious, proactive, and responsible.
  • Ability to write clean, tested, maintainable code.
  • Good at giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Ownership of projects from design to deployment and monitoring.
Additional assets

Experience or interest in scaling issues or the food/logistics sector is advantageous.
