Software Developer - Industrial Automation


You will be responsible for:

  • Design, implement, and optimize industrial automation systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions with hardware components.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and system issues in a timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development and automation.

  • Validate industrial sites and satellite validation platforms (EGSE).

  • Work within agile methodologies to ensure efficient and adaptive project management.


General competences & abilities:

  • Proficiency in C programming language.

  • Strong experience with Linux operating systems.

  • Knowledge of industrial automation languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram).

  • Competence with Siemens products such as Profinet and WinCC OA.

  • Experience with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) interfaces.

  • Competence with electrical interfaces and communication networks (Ethernet).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel to French Guiana as part of job requirements.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in other automation industries is desired (Pharma, Oil&GAS, Automotive, Nuclear, Railways, etc.).

  • Experience with Virtualisation and/or container platforms.

  • Develop and maintain software applications using C language on Linux platforms compliant with software quality standards (e.g. power of ten, MISRA C, etc.).

  • Previous experience in industrial automation or related fields.

  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).

  • Understanding of network protocols and communication standards used in automation (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA).

  • Experience with validation of industrial sites and/or satellite validation platforms (EGSE).

Qualification:

  • Engineering degree (Bac+5 or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Software Engineering.
    Other degrees may be considered depending on the candidate’s career path and relevant experience in industrial automation, EGSE or related domains.

  • Profile with 2 to 7 years of experience.
