Alan is hiring a senior data platform engineer to own the Data Foundations platform, ensuring safe-by-default data lifecycles and scalable governance. You will drive cross-team collaboration, ship dependable data tooling, and evolve the platform as Alan expands into new countries, while maintaining privacy by design.

You will work with Python/TypeScript in a hybrid setup, balancing hands-on coding with architectural leadership to enable multiple product teams.

Qualifications

• Senior or staff-level backend/platform engineer with production ownership experience.
• Experience building or operating data-platform services used by multiple teams.
• Able to align legal, security, data, and product requirements across areas.
• Demonstrated pragmatism and ability to ship safe, scalable data solutions.
• Experience with privacy, GDPR, or data-governance exposure is a plus.
• Fluent in English, with strong communication in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsabilités

• Own and run the data platform, its safety mechanisms, and observability.
• Build self-serve tooling and templates for data rules could be adopted by multiple teams.
• Coordinate across legal, security, data, and product to align requirements on data handling.
• Scale the platform to support Alan’s expansion into new countries.
