Alan is building a data-centric platform team and seeks senior backend/platform engineers. You will own the platform, implement safe-by-default data rules, and scale data privacy orchestration for 1M+ members.

You will collaborate with legal, security, data, and product to align on requirements and deliver production-ready solutions. You will ship the Data Privacy Orchestrator and extend coverage to new data stores and countries, shaping GDPR-compliant data lifecycles while improving developer

Qualifications

• Senior/staff-level backend or platform engineering role, hiring at E level or above.
• Built and operated platforms, libraries or services that others rely on.
• Able to coordinate with legal, security, data, and product teams to align on requirements.
• Hands-on coding in Python and TypeScript, shipping features to production.
• Fluent in English; French not required.

Responsabilités

• Own and run the platform: core engine, safety mechanisms, and operational health.
• Build the paved road: docs, templates, and self-serve tooling for data rules.
• Bridge across areas: align legal, security, data, and product on requirements; ensure ownership.
• Grow the surface: extend coverage across data stores and third-party systems as Alan expands into new countries.
