Alan is hiring for a senior backend/platform engineer to own the data privacy platform within the Data Foundations crew of the Tech Foundations area. You’ll build and operate core platform components, emphasize safety and privacy by design, and collaborate across legal, security, data, and product teams.

You’ll ship a hardened Data Privacy Orchestrator and extend data-rule coverage as Alan expands into new countries, with a focus on production ownership and scalable abstractions.

Qualifications

• Senior/staff-level backend or platform engineering with deep production ownership.
• Experience building and operating platforms, libraries, or services used by other engineers.
• Ability to align legal, security, data, and product teams on requirements and drive to completion.
• Pragmatic and delivery-focused; ships sound, safe solutions and improves them over time.
• Experience with privacy, GDPR, or data-governance in an enabling platform-team model.

Responsabilités

• Own the platform: core engine, safety mechanisms, and operational health.
• Build the paved road: docs, templates, and self-serve tooling for data rules.
• Bridge across areas: align legal, security, data, and product on requirements.
• Grow the surface: expand coverage across data stores and third-party systems as Alan grows.
