Alan is hiring for a senior backend/platform engineer to own the data platform and privacy tooling. You will build safe-by-default data abstractions, run the platform in production, and extend coverage into new countries.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration across legal, security, and product teams, and hands-on development in Python and TypeScript. Location flexibility is offered with a strong in-person collaboration culture, and the team aims to push privacy and security to the core

Qualifications

• Senior/staff-level backend or platform engineering experience
• Experience building and operating platforms, libraries, or services used by other engineers
• Ability to coordinate across legal, security, data and product teams

Responsabilités

• Own and run the platform, including core engine, safety mechanisms, and health
• Build the paved road with docs, templates, and self-serve tooling
• Bridge across areas to align requirements and ownership
• Grow the platform surface to cover more data stores and third-party systems
