Alan is hiring senior backend/platform engineers in France to own the data privacy platform and ensure scalable, privacy‑by‑design data lifecycles. You’ll work across legal, security, data, and product to align requirements and ship self‑serve tooling. Expect ownership, fast delivery, and expansion into new countries.

You’ll implement core engineering practices, maintain observability, and contribute to a culture of safe, pragmatic software delivery with strong emphasis on data protection.

Qualifications

• Senior/staff-level backend or platform engineering experience.
• Owned platforms or services used by other engineers.
• Experience coordinating with legal, security, data, and product teams.
• Hands-on coding in Python and TypeScript.
• English fluency and clear communication.

Responsabilités

• Own and run the platform core engine, safety mechanisms, and health (deploys, on-call, observability).
• Build self-serve tooling and docs so areas plug in and manage data rules.
• Bridge across legal, security, data, and product on requirements; align on data handling.
• Grow the platform to cover more data stores and third-party systems as Alan expands into new countries.
• Ship a hardened Data Privacy Orchestrator in production with end-to-end observability.
