Job summary

Jobgether, listed on behalf of a partner company, seeks an Engineering Manager based in France to lead engineering teams responsible for building and scaling technology powering global on-demand commerce. You will work with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineering Managers to shape strategy, define direction, and deliver impactful solutions in a cloud-native, AI-assisted environment.

• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams in a product-focused tech company.
• Experience delivering complex software products and systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration with Product Managers and Designers on discovery, prioritization, and product decisions.
• Technical judgment and ability to participate in architectural discussions and guide engineering choices.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, make trade-offs, and own outcomes.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to align technical teams with business goals.
• Experience with modern web/frontend/backend stacks and distributed data architectures.
• Practical use of AI/LLMs to improve software development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering teams, setting clear expectations and empowering engineers.
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers throughout discovery, opportunity assessment, and prioritization.
• Shape technical and product decisions, balancing customer impact and delivery speed.
• Oversee end-to-end engineering execution from planning to deployment and operations.
• Ensure predictable delivery by managing dependencies and risks.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain coding standards.
• Improve engineering practices with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Promote AI-assisted development to enhance coding efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate with other engineering managers and stakeholders to align objectives.
