Job summary

A&O IT Group in Paris is seeking an On-Site Desktop Support specialist to troubleshoot hardware and software, provision laptops, and support employees at customer locations.

You will work with Intune and JAMF for device management, handle BIOS and OS configurations, and assist with AV systems and live events. The role requires strong hands-on problem solving and excellent customer service as part of a global IT services provider.

Qualifications

• Experience with onsite desktop support and familiarity with Windows and macOS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Service Desk and other necessary entities to provide technical support services.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve incidents for devices and software (OS) including repairing faulty devices.
• Test repaired devices to ensure proper operation and correct End User images.
• Provide instructions and usage assistance to End Users for devices and software (installations, how-to guidance).
• Assist End Users in data backups or restoring damaged files from local backups.
• Replace devices through warranty services or hot swaps when onsite repair is not possible.
• Restore work area to pre-repair condition after End User support activities.
• Obtain End User acknowledgment for completion of Service Requests.
• Provide Smart Hands & Feet for AV conference room support during service hours.
• Manage/coordinate third-party AV equipment installations and escort at dispatch sites if required.
• Support End Users with third-party coordination for device setup including mobile data/voice carriers.
• Configure BIOS and hardware settings if required, and configure OS settings and drivers as needed.
• Ensure encryption, authentication, VPN and access management software are configured per client policies; ensure proper network settings.
• Deploy device software patches and hardware upgrades per client policies; decommission End User Equipment when decommissioned.
