A national charity is seeking a Family Carer Project Worker to support initiatives for individuals with severe learning disabilities. This role, which requires lived experience with challenging behaviour, involves working collaboratively with family carers and stakeholders. The position offers flexible hours and is home-based, prioritizing passionate individuals motivated to make a difference. Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to foster collaborative relationships with families in need.
The Challenging Behaviour Foundation is a registered national charity (based in Kent) that makes a difference to the lives of children and adults with severe learning disabilities whose behaviour challenges, and their families. We have a reputation for driving change at an individual, local, and national level.
Hours: 4 hours a week, worked flexibly
Contract: Fixed term contract (to end June 2027)
Location: Home based (you must live in Kent/Medway) plus attendance at events*
The Role:
To utilise your lived experience to support the delivery of the Forward Together Project plan to improve services and support for people with severe learning disabilities whose behaviour challenges, and their family carers in the Southeast.
