A leading insurance and financial services provider in Paris is seeking a Backup Platform Expert to oversee and enhance operating systems, manage the installation and maintenance of backup platforms, and resolve incidents. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience in the backup environment, is well-versed in cloud technologies, and possesses strong scripting skills. Excellent communication skills in English are required, and proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus.

About the job

Main missions

The candidate will join an existing technical team and his role will require:

• To be fully responsible for Backup platforms
• Part of the project team (as an expert) for future backup solution
• Installation, upgrades, maintenance of the platforms
• Production monitoring and resolution of technical incidents
• Backup monitoring and reporting in direct relation with Manage Services
• Analyze and prepare accurate documentation for production.
• Incident, Problem and Change Management support, in an enterprise environment, providing 3rd level support
• Improvement and extension of operational system stability and performance
• Creation and improvement of operational guidelines, implementation guidelines and work instructions and necessary documentation
• Implementation of Standard Work Requests (based on AXA-Services standards, using ServiceNow)
• Troubleshooting incidents in the scope of the technical areas
• Develop scripts for automation and batches, in close collaboration with development teams.
• Creating scripts according to internal AXA standards and procedures.
• Ability to support and monitor services on production servers.
• Technical writing of the proper documentation according to internal regulations
• Ensure security is priority one: audit, vulnerabilities remediation,
• Ensure service levels meet requirements. Propose and implement action plan when required.
• Work with Project team to prepare project scope and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Windows)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backup environment

Technical skills

• Cloud knowledge: Security, Networking, AWS, Azure
• Commvault solutions
• IBM Spectrum Protect V8 or later expert
• Scripting skills and automation.
• Strong general knowledge in IT and Datacenter infrastructure
• Knowledge in Windows / Linux / VMware
