ATR - Aerostructures Supply Quality Manager
We are seeking an experienced Aerostructures Supply Quality Manager to oversee the quality of supplier deliveries and ensure excellence across aerostructure production. In this role, you will lead quality initiatives, audits, and improvement programs to maintain high standards for parts and assemblies. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, coordinate with suppliers, and support customer satisfaction by ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and production requirements. The role involves both strategic planning and hands‑on management, with frequent travel across Europe to support operations. This position offers an opportunity to impact production quality and contribute to continuous improvement in a dynamic aerospace environment.
Accountabilities
- Secure on‑quality supplier deliveries and monitor key quality performance indicators.
- Develop and implement quality improvement plans to enhance supplier performance and customer satisfaction.
- Plan and conduct product and process audits and assessments, including First Article Inspections (FAI) for new products or modifications.
- Manage industrial audits for high‑risk suppliers, ensuring compliance with standards and addressing critical quality issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to develop unified action plans for supplier quality improvement.
- Lead investigations of quality issues, verify solutions in the field, and ensure effective implementation.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by balancing flight safety, cost control, production flow, and supply risk management.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in aerospace quality, supply chain, or production environments.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft design, manufacturing, and assembly processes (wing, fuselage, HTP, VTP).
- Expertise in quality standards and auditing (EN 19011, EN 9100, PART 21G/J).
- Proficiency in problem‑solving methodologies (8D, 5WHY, Ishikawa) and project management.
- International auditing qualifications (CIA or ISO Lead Auditor) are a plus.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to coordinate cross‑functional teams in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Customer‑oriented mindset with strategic thinking and proactive problem‑solving.
- Ability to manage priorities efficiently and travel frequently within Europe.
- Fluent in English and French (Italian is a plus).
