Job Description

Within the Medical Department, the Medical Project Manager (MPM) will contribute to implement the medical strategy in collaboration with the Medical Director and the Medical Managers. The MPM will be responsible for driving strategic country medical activities according to the Medical Plan and in alignment with the local, regional and global brand plans.

The MPM will play a pivotal role in four core areas within the Medical Department:

  1. Managing and overseeing scientific and medical training for employees in Spain and Portugal, with a focus on field teams. This will ensure that their interactions with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders are scientifically robust, impactful, and aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
  2. Leading the integration and application of artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize processes and activities, improving operational efficiency and fostering innovation within the Medical Department.
  3. Providing strategic support to the Medical Director by developing and maintaining operational dashboards that centralize all departmental projects and activities, enabling comprehensive monitoring, data-driven analysis, and the extraction of actionable insights. These insights will inform the development of new, high-impact initiatives and improve overall department performance.
  4. Overseeing medical information management, ensuring accurate and compliant responses to inquiries.

This role will demand close collaboration with the Medical Director, the Medical Managers, MSL Managers, Medical Advisors and MSLs, as well as local Marketing-Commercial and Patient Access & Community Engagement (PACE) teams. The MPM will closely collaborate as well with the Europe Medical Excellence team, and the regional and global training teams.

1. Internal Medical Training

  1. Lead the internal medical training plan for all products commercialized in Spain and Portugal, and design and coordinate scientific and medical training programs for all employees of Sobi Iberia, with the main focus on field teams.
  2. Act as a bridge between local and global training teams, facilitating the implementation of training programs at the country level and tailored to the needs of the Iberian affiliate.
  3. Ensure that the field teams are well-prepared for engaging HCPs and other key stakeholders in scientifically solid and impactful discussions aligned with corporate objectives.
  4. Stay updated with scientific literature by identifying key relevant papers and scientific documents, highlighting critical strategic messages related to Sobi and competitor products.

2. Medical Project Optimization with Artificial Intelligence and Innovation

  1. Lead the implementation of AI platforms and tools to optimize departmental processes, improving efficiency and allowing the team to focus on the most strategic projects.
  2. Ensure the seamless integration of AI solutions within daily activities, fostering innovation and delivering measurable outcomes.
  3. Monitor the success of AI-driven initiatives through key performance metrics, ensuring continuous process improvement.
  4. Design and implement AI training initiatives for internal teams, ensuring they are equipped to leverage AI technologies in their daily activities to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.

3. Medical Operations Intelligence

  1. Develop and manage operational dashboards that provide a centralized overview of all medical projects and activities.
  2. Use dashboards to facilitate real-time monitoring, in-depth analysis, and the extraction of insights that can drive new projects and strategic initiatives.
  3. Collaborate with the Medical Director to optimize departmental operations, ensuring that projects are aligned with corporate objectives and executed efficiently.
  4. Propose new, high-impact initiatives based on data-driven insights, enhancing both internal performance and external collaborations.

4. Medical Information

  1. Support the development of standardized processes to ensure consistency and efficiency in handling medical information requests.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain medical information resources that support the needs of the field teams and other departments.
  3. Collaborate in the monitorization and analysis of medical information trends to identify potential knowledge gaps and areas for continuous improvement.

Other responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Europe Medical Excellence team to implement at country level the regional projects and activities related to medical operations excellence.
  2. Provide support to medical device-related projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with Sobi’s strategic goals.
