A leading business school in Barcelona is seeking a Student Community & Sports Officer responsible for planning and managing weekly sports activities and providing support to the Student Board. The ideal candidate has experience in sports management or event management, possesses strong organizational and communication skills, and a good level of English. Established in 1973, EU Business School (EU) is an international, professionally accredited, high‑ranking business school with campuses in Barcelona, Geneva, Munich and Digital. We offer foundation, bachelor’s, master’s, MBA, DBA and further education programs which focus on business administration.

In 2022, EU Business School joined forces with OMNES Education Group. The Student Community & Sports Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the school's weekly sports activities, tournaments, and athletic events. Additionally, the role provides guidance and operational support to the Student Board and student clubs, fostering leadership, community life, and student engagement across campus.

DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Sports Activities
  • Develop annual sports strategies aligned with student needs and institutional priorities.
  • Plan and manage all weekly sports activities, ensuring high-quality programming and student participation.
  • Prepare and manage the annual sports budget, including proposals for facility reservations, materials, equipment, and tournaments.
  • Reserve facilities, handle logistics, and maintain sports materials and equipment.
  • Supervise sport-specific coordinators, ensuring orderly execution and compliance with school guidelines.
  • Organize internal tournaments and coordinate participation in inter-university competitions.
  • Build relationships with external sports providers and promote sports participation among students.
  • Maintain updated records for sports activities, club registrations, participation, and inventory.
Student Leadership: Board & Clubs
  • Act as the main liaison between the Student Board, student clubs, and the Student Experience team.
  • Coordinate onboarding and transition processes for new Board members and clubs members.
  • Support the Student Board in developing yearly strategic plans and measurable goals.
  • Encourage and guide Board members to help promote key school initiatives that benefit the student community.
  • Support Board-led and club-led events and initiatives.
  • Guide students interested in forming new clubs, review proposals, and coordinate approvals. Monitor existing clubs, encourage engagement, and assist with promotion and activity planning.
  • Foster collaboration between clubs to encourage joint events.
  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive campus environment.
  • Collect student feedback and support improvements to the student experience.
SKILLS & EDUCATION Qualifications
  • Experience in sports management, physical education, student affairs, event management, or similar.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; good English level required.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and work with student groups.
  • Proficiency with digital tools (Office 365, spreadsheets, SM platforms).
