Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist for the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and DS1 AI-powered platform. The role requires a biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering background with robotics experience and fluent English, Portuguese and Italian.

You will support HCPs, SUS and FSEs, escalate issues, and collaborate with peers across EMEA from a remote location with occasional domestic/international onsite training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in (biomedical/electrical/mechanical) engineering with experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
• Experience with analysing technical issues and processes for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Robotic Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE and act as a liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues, including initiating field service support when needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities with ownership of continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation and system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite support/training (domestically and international).
• Work hours from 8:00-16:30 CET; on-call 7AM-7PM, rotating.
