Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and DS1. You will provide remote support across EMEA, coordinate escalations, and collaborate with field engineers, health care professionals, and SUS teams.

The role requires engineering degrees, multilingual communication (Portuguese, English, Italian), and strong problem-solving in a fast-paced operating room environment. Travel domestically and internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with required experience or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE and act as liaison.
• Drive escalation and initiate field service support as needed.
• Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities with judgment and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure documentation and system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional on-site training domestically and internationally.
• Work hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 rotating among colleagues.
