Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery system and DS1 AI-powered platform in EMEA. You will explain complex technical issues to health care professionals, start-up specialists, and field service engineers.

The role requires a strong engineering background, fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian, and experience in robotics or motion control. Remote work with occasional international onsite support is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years, or a medical degree with technical skills.
Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
Highly organized with ability to multitask and prioritize.
Experience in analyzing technical issues for continuous improvement and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
Drive escalation to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex service requests.
Perform technical activities requiring judgment and own improvement projects.
Ensure all documentation and system entries are complete promptly.
Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training (domestic and international).
Regular hours 8:00–16:30 CET; on-call 7:00–19:00 with rotations.
