Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a full-time, remote Technical Service Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic-assisted system and DS1 AI-powered platform across EMEA. You will communicate complex technical issues to HCPs, SUS, and FSEs, with a focus on remote support and occasional onsite training.

The role requires a biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering background, multi-lingual fluency (Portuguese, English, Italian), and robotics experience in capital equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or 2+ years with advanced degree; medical degree with technical skills also acceptable.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2).
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo robotic system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE; act as a technical liaison between stakeholders and operating unit.
• Drive escalation processes to resolve issues; initiate required field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities requiring judgment; own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure documentation and system entries are completed promptly.
