Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Remote Technical Services Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo robotic system and DS1 platform across EMEA. The role focuses on remote technical support, issue escalation, and collaboration with Field Service Engineers, with occasional onsite training available domestically and internationally.

The ideal candidate holds a biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering degree (or medical degree with technical skills) and is fluent in Portuguese, English, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2+ years; or a medical degree with technical skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) is required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
• Experience analyzing technical issues for continuous improvement.
• Experience with software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE, acting as liaison between stakeholders and the operating unit.
• Drive escalation to resolve customer issues and initiate field service when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical service specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Perform technical activities with judgement and own continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all documentation/system entries are complete promptly.
• Focus on remote support with occasional onsite training domestically and internationally.
• Regular hours 8:00-16:30 CET; on-call 7AM-7PM with rotating shifts.
