Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a remote Technical Service Specialist for Surgical Robotics to support the Hugo RAS and DS1 platforms across EMEA. You will provide expert remote support, drive escalation processes, and collaborate with field engineers to resolve complex issues.

The role requires engineering in biomedical/electrical/mechanical fields, 4+ years of relevant experience, and fluency in Portuguese, English, and Italian. Some onsite work and international travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical/electrical/mechanical engineering with 4+ years of experience or advanced degree with 2+ years.
• Medical degree with technical skills and experience is acceptable.
• Fluency in Portuguese, English and Italian (C1/C2) required.
• Experience with robotics or motion control in a large capital equipment environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for the Hugo system and DS1 to HCP, SUS and FSE.
• Drive escalation process and initiate field service as needed.
• Collaborate with other specialists to troubleshoot complex service requests.
• Take ownership of documentation and continuous improvement projects.
• Occasional onsite support/domestic and international travel.
• Work during 8:00–16:30 CET with on-call 7:00–19:00 rotation.
