Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an entry-level Networking Remote Field Service Engineer (L1) to provide remote technical support to clients. You will identify and resolve incidents, restore services, and ensure SLA adherence through proactive incident handling and effective communication.

As part of a global team, you will apply basic vendor tech knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, RiverBed) and work on maintenance tasks, documentation, and incident escalation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computing or related field required.
• Associate level networking certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNA, JNCIA, ACMA) encouraged.
• Entry-level knowledge of vendor technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, RiverBed is expected.
• Familiarity with management agent concepts, redundancy concepts and remote console architecture.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the support process and ensures requests for support are handled per procedures.
• Uses service assurance software to diagnose problems and collect performance statistics.
• Identifies and resolves problems following agreed procedures and carries out maintenance tasks.
• Remotely investigates root cause and assists with remedies and preventative measures.
• Escalates unresolved incidents and follows up until resolved; documents incidents.
• Keeps knowledge articles up to date and uses them in incident diagnosis and resolution.
• Communicates with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinates with vendors, clients IT environments and colleagues to expedite resolution.
• Maintains secure configuration on configuration items (CIs) and logs incidents with required detail.
