Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an entry-level Networking Remote Field Service Engineer (L1) to join its global team. The role centers on providing professional remote technical support to clients, resolving incidents, and restoring services while ensuring SLA compliance.

You will work across cultures, handle diverse networks, and coordinate with vendors to deliver rapid, reliable outcomes. As an entry-level engineer, you will learn vendor technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, RiverBed) and develop expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
• Associate level certification in networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, CCNA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the support process and ensures requests for support are handled per procedures.
• Uses service assurance software to investigate problems, collect stats, and report findings.
• Identifies and resolves problems following agreed procedures.
• Carries out maintenance tasks and updates knowledge articles as needed.
• Monitors service delivery against SLAs and documents relevant data.
• Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents, escalates unresolved ones, and follows up.
• Provides service recovery after incident resolution and closes records per procedures.
• Maintains configuration items (CIs) securely and accurately.
• Speaks with clients and vendors to expedite diagnosis and resolution.
• Logs incidents with required detail and updates systems and portals as per SOPs.
