Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an entry-level Networking Remote Field Service Engineer (L1) to deliver remote technical support and resolve incidents while maintaining SLA commitments. You will work with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba and Riverbed technologies, logging activities and coordinating with teams to ensure timely resolution.

The role focuses on pre-emptive incident handling, documenting resolutions, and contributing to service quality in a remote working setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
• Associate level certification in networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNA, JNCIA, ACMA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the support process and ensures requests for support are handled per procedures.
• Uses service assurance software and tools to investigate, diagnose problems and create reports.
• Identifies and resolves problems following agreed procedures.
• Carries out agreed maintenance tasks.
• Ensures usage of knowledge articles in incident diagnosis and resolution and assists with updates.
• Monitors service delivery against SLAs and maintains relevant records.
• Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents per procedures.
• Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution.
• Escalates unresolved incidents and follows up until resolved.
• Provides service recovery after incidents are resolved.
• Documents and closes resolved incidents per procedures.
• Maintains configuration items (CIs) in a secure and current state.
• Applies tools and processes to track and protect assets from unauthorized changes.
• Remotely investigates root causes and assists with remediation measures.
• Maintains knowledge of specialist areas and provides detailed advice.
• Ensures complete incident resolution and coordinates product requests with teams.
• Provides continuous feedback to clients and updates systems and ticketing tools.
