Job summary

Seleccion & Formacion is seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller for a rapidly expanding multinational group with a Barcelona footprint. This fully remote leadership position lets you oversee critical financial functions while working from anywhere in Spain, ensuring compliance, driving improvements, and delivering strategic insights to senior management.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting, audits, and internal controls while leading a distributed accounting team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting/finance with senior/controller exposure.
• Experience with Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP/Oracle and Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Experience in fully remote or distributed teams and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP/AR, GL, and payroll.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per Spanish GAAP and IFRS.
• Develop accounting policies to improve internal controls and efficiency.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Implement and manage financial systems and software.
